Outcast: first posters for new comic book adaptation
A look at star Patrick Fugit as the major character Kyle Barnes as well as an official poster for the exorcism drama series have landed online.
After scaring the minds of viewers with The Walking Dead, creator Robert Kirkman continues the scarefest at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con with his latest Cinemax horror/exorcism, Outcast. To his family’s dismay, he appears to be in the clutches of demonic possession, but there’s something very different about this possession and its connection to Kyle Barnes.
“Outcast“, the TV adaptation of Kirkman/Skybound’s comic book by the same name, was developed by FIS and was picked up to series by Cinemax in the USA and by FOX worldwide Channels (FIC) outside the USA earlier this year. The SDCC Outcast poster tagline states: “Possession is just the beginning”.
The special cover has series star Patrick Fugit recreated the cover to Outcast #1, by Robert Kirkman and Paul Azaceta. “Now, with the help of the Rev. Anderson, a preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost”. Desperate for answers, Kyle’s investigation will unexpectedly cause the end of the world. A panel for the show will be held Saturday, July 11 at 3:00 P.M.in Room 6DE. An inveterate drinker and gambler, he doesn’t believe God intends us to sweat the small stuff.
Filmmaker Adam Wingard, who has made horror fans happy with his flicks, The Guest, and You’re Next, has signed on to direct the pilot.
