Amazon says that new deals will be added every five minutes throughout these eight days, though the biggest cuts will be made available only on Thanksgiving day.
In an NJ.com poll, 67% polled said retail stores should be closed on Thanksgiving.
Amazon has announced that it will begin offering deals on November 20 through Black Friday, which is on November 28.
The marketplace said total holiday sales from the Amazon Mobile Shopping App past year doubled in the US and Black Friday had the most rapid growth in mobile shopping.
Prices will be cut by an average of 40 per cent. The biggest discounted items in cash terms being the Stuhrling women’s watch, reduced by almost £300 to £81.32 as well as a rowing machine, reduced by £250 to £799 from a starting price of £1,049.
That’s when the leading IT/CE specialty e-tailer plans to unleash a non-stop barrage of holiday sales, beginning Monday, Nov. 23, and running through Cyber Monday, Nov. 30. It’s considered to be the official start of the holiday shopping season, and tens of billions of dollars will be spent by consumers both in stores and online.

USA Today points out other retailers are looking to extend their bank accounts and Black Friday deals past a single day in November. Be wary of large discounts this Black Friday and be sure to research the best deal. Wal-Mart’s store timings for Black Friday are from 6:00 PM onward on Thanksgiving i.e. Thursday 26 while online offers can even be availed on Thanksgiving from 12:01 AM PST. The offers can be availed from 5:00 PM on Thanksgiving, and the stores open on Black Friday at 8:00 AM. This feature is available only in selected locations and on selected items and will become available for the duration of the Black Friday sale and will continue up to the holiday season next month. Target will be offering free shipping without minimum purchase requirements, noteworthy doorbusters, online specials and more savings!
