Apple could be planning big changes to the MacBook Air in 2016
For MacBook Air 2016, reports said the laptop will make an appearance at next year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, which will be held in June.
The upgraded MacBook Air is said to have a slimmer body, and will come in a 13-inch and 15-inch model. Factor in the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro and it could mean the death of the 11-inch MacBook Air once and for all. The 2016 Airs are supposed to be even thinner and more powerful than existing models, without going into further details about it. Is that a laptop you might be interested in?
Now the report has raised doubts about accuracy, but some have also pointed that eventually we could see a merging of the Pro and Air lines from Apple. However, there are rumors which say that Apple might stop producing future MacBook Air devices.
We’ll have to wait and see till WWDC, if Apple does launch redesigned MacBook Air laptops.
The launching of MacBook Pro 2016 is delayed because Apple reportedly encountered issues with the production of Intel’s Skylake-U processors.
According to Ubergizmo, the Cupertino-based company is planning to introduce a thinner MacBook Air next year. Previously, both of MacBook Air models featured a screen size less that was less than 15 inches, with one model possessing a screen of 13 inches, while the other one had an 11.6 inch screen.
Considering that the chip was pegged to for workstation and laptop use, it seems to hint that Apple may opt to use their A10x processor instead of Intel’s famed chips which has been widely renowned and used by Apple’s rival companies.
There’s no word on whether or not it’ll have a Retina display.

If these guesses turn out to be true, then previous reports about the MacBook Air 2016 being released this Christmas are wrong.
Per the publication, the slimmer MacBok Air’s design for the 13- and 15-inch models will be made possible thanks to “fully re-designed” internal components in the device, which Apple is apparently working on developing in tandem with its suppliers.
