Largest batch yet of Clinton emails released by State Department
Clinton’s notes show her searching for videos on how to do a “fishtail bun” hairstyle and scheduling and rescheduling flights, meals and hairstyling appointments. Kennedy explained that the department had already told American citizens not to travel to Benghazi on January 2 – a warning they had reiterated on January 24, just one day before her e-mail. “There is no classified material”.
Republicans have criticized the Democratic presidential candidate for the use of her server instead of a government email address.
So far, approximately two-thirds of the 55,000 pages of emails Clinton turned over to the State Department have been made public.
The latest batch contains 328 emails deemed to have classified information.
“In terms of thousands of combat troops, like some on the Republican side are recommending, I think that should be a non-starter”, Clinton told CBS News in an interview that aired on Tuesday.
“Investing in infrastructure makes our economy more productive and competitive across the board”, she said Sunday at a rally in Boston’s Faneuil Hall, addressing a crowd heavy on workers from construction unions.
It should be clear by now to all but the most self-deluded Clinton supporters that there was a major effort to change the focus of public attention on the attack from terrorism to an anti-Islamic video.
Clinton has a big lead over Sanders with black Democratic voters, and her team is determined to lock up the demographic in order to shorten the Democratic primary.
But the truth is there isn’t really all that much difference between Ms. Clinton’s promise to soak the top 3 percent and Mr. Sanders’ promise to get the money he needs from the “billionaire class”. Former President Bill Clinton reportedly declined to campaign for Warren’s election to the Senate in 2012.
Mrs. Clinton’s email messages are all being released publicly, while her aides’ messages won’t be released in full, but are being searched in response to dozens of open-records requests. And did I, you know, help rebuild after 9/11? It was one of many issues raised during her 11 hours testimony before the House Benghazi Committee last month.
But it was also meant to underscore Clinton’s near monopoly among Democratic lawmakers who have declared a preference, and her appeal as the first woman with a strong shot at becoming president.
“If you would like help with your campaign, I’m available”, one girl offered.
“But there you go attacking them”.
Politically, this sort of tax hike hand waving is a good move, because it allows Clinton to proposed hundreds of billions in new spending while saying, essentially, that of course it will be paid for-by someone else. Most of the classified messages were exchanged with fellow State Department employees, but a few of them were between Mrs. Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and others involved Sidney Blumenthal, a controversial confidante of the Clintons.
