Two missing girls found safe in Olathe, Amber Alert canceled
Police issued the Amber Alert a short time later.
The search began around 6 p.m.at a tire shop near West Elm and South Kansas Avenue; police found the girls about two hours later a half-mile away.
The two children were waiting for their dad in his vehicle parked outside a business in Olathe, Kansas.
The girls’ father, Luis Fragoso, told NBC station KSHB that he had gone inside Tim’s Tire Store, where he worked for a moment when the vehicle was stolen.
The girls were in a 2009 GMC Acadia with KS license plate 617HNH. Police say the girls were found in the vehicle that had been driven by the man they’re looking for.
The man who stole the vehicle, described as being in his 40s, remained at large.
The girls have been identified as Jazmin Fragoso-Aguilar and Ximena Fragoso.
