New Battle of Jakku Trailer for Star Wars Battlefront Released
In many ways, the game can be seen as a “Star Wars” simulator, one that allows players to fulfill their wildest fantasies, which DICE successfully incorporates into the core design of the game. The Missions Mode includes specifically themed battles which harken back to the original games (kill 100 enemies before the other team), with some semblance of a mission story (protect the stolen plans, disrupt the other army from dispatching, etc.) The action is fun and frantic. The survival mode is a nice way practice teamwork and get used to the targeting, and the Star Cards, which gives the player extra weapons and abilities.
Are you happy to see the new stability improvements added to Star Wars Battlefront or are you more concerned with weapon power being altered in the name of game balance?
The game itself is good, but not great. Graveyard of Giants is the huge battlefield made for the game’s larger modes.
Chances are, you’ve already done all of those in previous games.
According to EA’s official statement, gamers will undergo enormous effects or results of the Rebel’s victory in the Battle of Endor, which have bring forth a battle-scarred landscape of Jakku. It will present all of the Rebel’s obstacles just to conquer the Empire on a massive scale of air and land combats. It’s obvious that DICE has put so much love and care into preserving the sites and sounds of Star Wars, because the results are absolutely exceptional. Once one of the three checkpoints is captured, the first set of two checkpoints opens for the next wave. And hidden gems (five per level) gives players incentive to seek them out all the while a gun fight goes on around you.
Every way to play touched upon so far involves playing with your fellow man, but there is a way to play Battlefront on your own (or with a friend over local and online co-op). However the issue with this is that actually getting into the seat of a Tie-fighter or X-Wing becomes a rare event. There’s nothing like seeing red blaster bolts flying back and forth in scenes reminiscent of The Arena from Episode II and knowing they’re all real players. Race a speeder bike through the forests of Endor? Some of that comms chatter I mentioned can be badly timed, or completely at odds with what’s happening on screen and sometimes the music wades in at unusual times too.
Cue a long battle, the crashing of ships and general destruction, and the Rebels win the day, albeit taking more casualties than they’d like. I can not imagine who did the voice for Vader in Battlefront but it is the most awful cringing childlike impersonation I’ve ever heard. We’ve a feeling quite a number of people will purchase a copy.
If you don’t want one second of the new film or its plot spoiled for you, tread carefully.
In regards to the new game mode, Turning Points is kind of the counter to Walker Assault. While the campaign felt a polished experience, it ultimately wasn’t enough to stay interesting for all of its lengths and take a stand in comparison with older Call of Duty games.
