Trump meets with black pastors group
Trump met with a coalition of 100 African-American evangelical pastors and religious leaders in a private meeting at Trump Tower. “It didn’t go longer for other reasons”, Trump gushed, as about 20 ministers gathered around him at an impromptu press conference.
In an impromptu news conference after the meeting, Trump was again unapologetic.
“So what will happen is they’ll say, ‘Oh, Trump is chicken,”‘ he stated. But shortly before the session, his campaign reported that, inexplicably, there had been a misunderstanding about the, you know, roar of approval.
If Trump truly wanted veteran organizations to have more funding and support, he should give it himself instead of holding people hostage for political gain. Rather than condemn the violence, the real estate mogul said that perhaps the person “should have been roughed up”. “We told him that you are insensitive in appearance to our community and that’s not a good position”.
Regarding Black Lives Matter, Trump dismissed the movement, saying, “Black lives are very important, white lives are very important, and to me all lives are very important”.
However, others feel that Trump’s polarizing opinions-as well as his refusal to apologize for previous statements-are a recipe for disaster. He told the crowd he never served because of various deferments but came close to getting drafted near the end of the war.
Earlier during the exchange, Bryant called Davis a “pawn” and said that he vehemently opposes Trump, who he claimed has been “outlandishly offensive to every minority group in the country”. You, reading this right now, are part of the problem, and so am I. Whatever else he is, the puffy-faced former TV show host is the hottest thing on the internet since a cat first adorably mashed a keyboard, and he knows it.
According to Trump, the pastors discussed a range of issues with him, such as the high unemployment rate among black youth and controversial police shootings.
The billionaire candidate also reiterated what he believes to be his appeal to Latino voters, the news channel noted. More specifically, they’ve pointed to a 2013 blog post by conservative blogger Debbie Schlussel, in which she recalled watching an MTV report about the “thousands” of Muslim Americans cheering the attacks.
