Simon Pegg’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens role has been revealed

The 73-year-old actor reprises his role as captain of the Millennium Falcon in the new movie and revealed that Han is no longer simply the wise-cracking smuggler from the original movies. But as it turns out, J.J. Abrams turned the job down before he eventually said yes. Thus, the marketing machine continues to ramp up, with TV spots dropping all over the place, and tiny new details sneaking out of J.J. Abrams’ Mystery Box, though nothing that could yet be called a spoiler, as such.

The full Sirius XM Town Hall with Abrams will premiere December 14 at 6 p.m. ET on EW Radio Sirius XM 105.

Last week (November 26) a dark new teaser trailer for The Force Awakens was released online. Isn’t it insane that Star Wars is actually happening?

The Mos Eisley Cantina scene of “Star Wars” is beloved for its jazzy alien lounge act, an instrumental penned by composer John Williams. “It felt like I was trying to do one of those Incredible Hulk [things], moving a auto off of a friend, someone you love, except I was not the Hulk”.

“We just started talking about what this thing could be, and as we were talking about it I found myself suddenly on fire…” There has been a lot of talk of a new Indiana Jones movie and, should the stars align, Ford say hes totally down.

It’s one of the most iconic scenes in the entire “Star Wars” franchise – and it’s getting a callback in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. I remember standing with my dad in line at the mall for two, three hours to see it on opening day, and it was fantastic being a little boy in the seventies and early eighties when these movies were coming out.
