The Cleveland Browns will have yet another decision to make regarding their starting quarterback as Josh McCown’s season is likely over.

With the Browns in a short week before facing Cincinnati, coach Mike Pettine still hasn’t decided if he’ll re-insert Johnny Manziel, recently benched for off-field antics, into the starting lineup or stick with Austin Davis, who replaced an injured McCown in the fourth quarter. This time, wide receiver Travis Benjamin ran a straight route and got behind cornerback Shareece Wright and safeties Will Hill and Kendrick Lewis for a 42-yard touchdown from third-string quarterback Austin Davis. The Browns have another decision to make.

Manziel was demoted from starter to No. 3 quarterback last week after partying over the bye weekend and trying to cover it up. But Manziel reportedly lied to the Browns about how old the video was, and told his friends to lie for him too, sealing his fate. “I’m going to reserve talk for the quarterback stuff until [Wednesday]”.

Without leader Joe Flacco – who’s sidelined with a season-ending injury – the birds managed to pull this one off and go to 4-7 on the year.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who was a long-time special teams coach in Philadelphia, said these blocks are not something you can plan out or prepare for.

MONDAY BLUES: Cleveland’s Monday Night Football appearance in seven years couldn’t have ended any worse with fans dejectedly heading to the exits and a few tearing off their jerseys in disgust after a heart-wrenching loss.

“We’ll watch the tape and discuss that [Tuesday]”, Pettine said Monday night.

“Tough one to wrap your brain around”, Pettine said dejectedly. He is expected to undergo more tests on Tuesday.

After Matt Schaub’s pass was intercepted, and the Browns moved past the Baltimore 35-yard line, Travis Coons had the chance to kick a field goal to hand Cleveland their third win of the season.

Cornerback Justin Gilbert is in the concussion protocol, he said. We’ve got a lot of good special teams players and they’re very well coached.
