Louis Rams owner aiming to share stadium with San Diego Chargers
The Chargers and Raiders are working jointly on a stadium proposal in Carson, Calif.
Tuesday, the Los Angeles Opportunities Committee heard from Kroenke and Chargers owner Dean Spanos. “I don’t guarantee it, but I certainly think that that’s what we’re trying to head to, and I think it’s important since we have the ability to put a team there – or teams – we ought to do it”.
Rams owner Stan Kroenke plans for an 80,000-seat stadium on land he owns near Hollywood Park horse track in Inglewood at a cost of $1.86 billion while the Rams and Chargers are combining on a $1.7 billion proposal to share a stadium.

Any substantive progress toward the NFL’s potential return to the Los Angeles market remains in limbo, but momentum for relocation could begin building next month.
All three teams involved once called Los Angeles home, although America’s second-largest metropolitan area has not had a team to call its own since the Rams and Raiders departed in 1995.
A source close to negotiations told ESPN’s Shelley Smith that the Raiders still believe they have a chance to move to L.A. and that they have a better chance with the Chargers than the Rams if paired on a stadium deal. Jones, however, said he could see just one team playing in Los Angeles. There is a ton of uncertainty surrounding these teams’ relocation, as each owner will need to get 24 votes out of the league’s 32 owners to approve any move, and the Inglewood project now faces a hurdle with the Federal Aviation Administration.
The meeting will take place one day after the city of San Diego released its response to concerns league executives had with a term sheet for a Mission Valley stadium project proposed by the city and county two months ago.
The Los Angeles Chargers…. sounds real crappy, but it seems that we will be stepping in that direction in the near future.
