Homicide team to lead missing woman’s file
Hundreds of people gathered Saturday night in the Valley Gardens area, holding onto flashlights and hope that Thelma Krull will return home safe.
“We are hoping anybody with any type of information comes forward”. She had planned to pick up a birthday cake for her grandson later on.
“I wanted to share with you that on Saturday, July 18th, at 9:30pm we will be holding a walk for anyone interested to join as we “Light the Walk Home” for my mom”, she said.
Dora Viandante, who also lives in the city’s east end, has been taking weekly walks around the community for more than 20 years, including near the East Side Eagles football field, only metres from where police found Krull’s glasses during their search.
Investigators have released a photograph of two people cycling in the area on the morning of the disappearance. The grainy pictures shows one cyclist with what appears to be a tennis racket.
Const. Eric Hofley says the two are not considered suspects, but may be able to provide information if they saw Krull.
“Multiple units across the service are actively involved in this investigation”, he said.
“I am amazed at the turnout and support”, said Robert Krull, Thelma’s husband. For instance, Gibson says he’s changed his routine in the last few days, following her mysterious disappearance.
Thelma Krull had started walking long distances in order to train for a seven-day hike in British Columbia.
