Comedy show for 50 Cent?
“My Friend 50”, which has a script order, follows Amanda Kramer, an unstable twentysomething who believes that joining 50 Cent’s entourage is the answer to all her problems.
50 Cent is trying his hand at comedy with a new series being launched by Fox, called “My Friend 50”.
From his early tweets about taking out the trash to his endlessly hilarious (and occasionally mean-spirited) Instagram page, there’s no denying that 50 Cent has one hell of a wacky sense of humour.
Deadline reports that 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, will make recurring and occasional appearances as a version of himself. Korin D. Huggins, Head of Television for Will Packer Productions will executive produce. The new deal falls outside a two-year deal Jackson signed in September with the premium cable network Starz to develop new projects and continue his work on Power, which recently began shooting a third season.
Packer served as an executive producer for Straight Outta Compton and produced Ride Along and Think Like a Man, among other films. His recent film acting credits include the boxing drama Southpaw and comedic James Bond parody Spy.
