HTC One M8 to get Android Marshmallow upgrade this month
HTC’s Mo Versi says that the Android 6.0 update for the HTC One M8 has completed testing. Some variants of the LG G4, Moto X Style and 2014 Moto X have already gotten the update, and so has the Google Play Edition HTC One M8. He also said the One M9 should get some Marshmallow love in the near future. Are any of you using a HTC One at the moment? And according to Versi, an update to the M9 should hit soon, too, though more testing needs to be done.
@if326 It’s coming, unlocked version will be this year and carrier versions early next.
To upgrade right away, simply go to Settings About Phone Version Check for Updates.
This is nothing but great news for the HTC fans, as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update arrives with a few important changes.
Now it looks like HTC One M8 owners don’t have to wait much longer as Twitter leak specialist LlabTooFeR claims that it will be available to European handsets in the next two weeks. HTC’s official line is, again, “beginning end of 2015”, so it’s not unreasonable to assume that it will start to roll out around the same time as it does for the One M8. It will be in build range 6.12.401.x … Please let us know in comments.
