Destiny King’s Fall raid challenge mode live, beaten in minutes
King’s Fall challenge mode went live less than an hour ago, with variants for both normal and hard versions of the raid. The challenge will drop legendary items and the harder the mode the more powerful the drops.
Raid Challenges are a new addition to Destiny, created to mix things up a little for those who run King’s Fall every week.
Those who complete this “challenge” will get an emblem, one of the missing calcified fragments and a chest that contains an artifact and one of the Warpriest drops (sniper, machine gun, rocket).
You can check out the ongoing discussion on Reddit to find out everything there is to know so far on the Warpriest challenge. The challenge brought about tougher enemies, no-death penalties and a two-attempt limit at taking down the boss.
With the new challenge mode, there must be different Brand holders for the duration of the fight.
Aside from the heightened difficulties, the challenge mode also brings minor differences in loot. 310 gear on normal, and 320 gear on hard (weapon, artifact), thank goodness. Players expected it to launch alongside the December patch of “Destiny”. Gamezone reports that several weapon types will be available, including Pulse Rifles, Shotguns, Fusion Rifles and even Exotics.
