Uber launches “Ride Request” button for third-party apps
Its competitor known as Lyft also included a similar functionality that allows people to call for rides directly through Slack, a popular app focused on productivity.

Devs can log into the Uber app and enter their details in the dashboard and receive a line of code allowing users to directly request a driver (via The Verge). Furthermore, it would be a hectic and time-consuming activity because it would involve a trial and error approach.
On Wednesday morning, Uber announced the “Uber Ride Request Button”, a piece of code and associated software development kit that iOS and Android app developers can use to quickly and easily add Uber support to their offerings.
Examples of what the button looks like once integrated into an app. “This will help you offer a differentiated feature for your users, provide a magical experience for riders and even earn additional revenue your business”. The latest announcement reveals that the company has opened its platform for developers to create access through other apps.
