A good year for Christmas trees
Some families spend much more time picking out a tree, meaning it is not unusual to see less particular or more exhausted family members taking a break from the hunt at tree farms on benches, near fire pits, or back at the auto.

Galehouse said growers are asked to donate trees that are 5.5 to 6.5 feet tall and, usually, white pines or Fraser firs, which are narrower, softer and easier to bale and fit into the boxes.
The artificial trees have been on sale since last month.
The trees can collect mould on their trunks and needles, and the ones that have been stored for a while will have collected not only mould, but also dust.
This year’s tree is a 78-foot Norway Spruce from Gardiner, New York. Taking between six and eight years to grow a tree from scratch, Helen and Lester began slowly building the business and focussed on creating a family day out experience at their farm. The trees thrive in cooler climates.
But there’s one thing we all agree on: it’s damned hard work finding the flawless tree.
Former Birstall district councillor Simon Sansome, 33, who started a petition against the cone, said: ‘There were complaints past year about how bad the Christmas tree was, so we expected the parish council to up its game.
“Christmas tree farm is a great way to help out the local community through donating the trees and decorations to families in need and getting to have fun with friends and participate in Christmas on 5th at the same time”, Bell said.
The High School Chorale will lead Christmas carols and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for the township’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Washington Lake Park Friday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. Before that, the last bad year was in the 1970s, Freed said.
She had to throw 200 trees into her burn pile in October. “Hopefully we don’t have another summer like this one”.
