Police investigate possible overdose of 6 inmates at Westchester jail
Westchester County Police are investigating what the substance was that resulted in the hospitalizations and how it came into the possession of the inmates, O’Leary said.
Six inmates at an upstate New York prison have been taken to hospital following multiple drugs overdoses, reports suggest. The six were found unresponsive in a cell block and hospitalized.

As they left through the barbed wire cordon, one person was reportedly told that they “smoked something” and passed out.
Westchester County police said they could not confirm the medical conditions of the inmates or exactly what caused the reported overdoses.
This story has been updated. One inmate is said to have been found in cardiac arrest. The two others were taken to White Plains Hospital.
