Warriors beat Hornets, win 20th straight to start season
Warriors guard Stephen Curry-son of former Hornets swingman Dell Curry and the reigning NBA MVP-scored 40 points in three quarters.
The Warriors took command quickly, racing to a 28-13 lead and never looking back. He finished 14-of-18 from the field and eight-of-11 from three-point range.
Curry, who grew up in Charlotte and starred at Davidson College, says Carolina’s win streak doesn’t surprise him, saying: “Being 11-0 is wonderful, but they’ve shown signs that they are elevating to that next level”.
Andre Iguodala hit a 3-pointer, and James Michael McAdoo slammed home a lob pass from Marreese Speights to push the lead to 17 in the second.
He then sat out the entire fourth quarter with the game well in hand. The Bucks set season lows for points and field goal percentage (33.8%) in falling to 2-8 on the road.
The perfection has carried over to this season and the Dubs find them- selves with an unblemished 20-0 record so far this year, despite the hurdles.
The Hornets (10-8) shot just 37.2 percent from the field.

Jeremy Lamb: He started the second half in place of P.J. Hairston, scoring seven quick points as the Hornets briefly trimmed Golden State’s lead to eight points. Leading scorer Kemba Walker finished with just four points on 2-of-16 shooting.

The Warriors extended their record for consecutive wins to begin a season, and made it 26 straight wins overall dating to last season. They will play at Toronto Saturday and then will face Brooklyn, Indiana, Boston and Milwaukee later on the trip….
