Harrison Ford gets sassy on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show
And I said, ‘Yeah, he should be John Wayne.’ And when you’re John Wayne, you don’t shoot people [first] – you let them have the first shot.
Jimmy Fallon had Harrison Ford on his late-night show, which aired last night.
Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are said to be “seeing everyone” in order to find the flawless actor for the role.
Harrison Ford cultivates his image as a curmudgeon at every press opportunity and whether it’s an act or not we can’t really tell, but what we can tell is that when he’s being one, Jimmy Fallon is his favourite target. “I didn’t win.” And he wasn’t buying Fallon’s assertion that “nobody hears” the word “nominated” in that descriptor.
But the best was yet to come, as Fallon then brought up Ford’s injury on “The Force Awakens”. Ford explained. But that wasn’t enough for Fallon, who asked him to demonstrate what happened on a Han Solo doll. Ford wondered aloud before the host showed the only clip released so far of Han Solo in the new film from the official trailer, a moment he said gave him “chills”.
Did Ford himself get emotional? Fallon wanted to know before letting Ford off the hook.
Does Harrison Ford have a say in who gets the iconic vest next?
