‘Zero tolerance on corruption’, says Lalu’s son Tejaswi
Taking to Twitter, the 26-year-old said people of Bihar will reap fruits of the “trust shown in youth”.

Tejashwi’s appointment as the deputy CM despite being a debutant MLA has raised many eyebrows even though JD (U) leaders tried to brush it off as a “coalition compulsion”. Tejaswi said, “Whatever responsibility we get, we will do it”, adding “Chief Minister explained how the Cabinet works and our focus should be on development”.
In a grand event on Friday, Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the fifth time at the Gandhi Maidan here.
Tejaswi Yadav also made it clear that he would have a zero tolerance approach towards corruption. However, second-tier BJP leaders attacked Tejaswi and his elder brother Tej Pratap, who also was included on the Nitish cabinet, and said that they were symbol of dynastic politics.
Emerging from the meeting, Tejaswi told reporters, “Whatever responsibilty has been entrusted to us we will fullfill it without any interest”.
Tejashwi Yadav also clarified his position on twitter and tweeted that he will leave no stone unturned for development & to increase the value of Brand Bihar so that Nitish Kumar can be proud of me as his deputy.
Tejaswi had earlier directly targeted the people who consider him incapable of the post and said that there are two chief ministers in his family and he has seen how government’s work.
Meanwhile, indicating that a move to impose a statewide ban on liquor would begin within six months, Bihar minister for excise and prohibition Abdul Jalil Mastan, while taking charge of his department, said, “We are not here to weigh profit and loss”.
