Chillingly, Thalasinos’ final facebook post was a message about a man he said made a threat to his life. Kaufman ran the coffee shop in building 3 at the Inland Regional Center, training the developmentally disabled clients who worked there.
The second victim identified in the attack is Michael Raymond Wetzel, a married father of six.
Juan Perez, Director of Riverside County Transportation and Land Management Agency and a former boss of Damian Meins, passed along an email to ABC News that he had sent to his employees Thursday morning.
The shooters, identified as 28-year-old Syed Rizwan Farook and his 27-year-old wife, Tashfeen Malik, fired between 65 and 75 rifle rounds during the shooting at a county health department holiday party, then unloaded about that number in a later confrontation with police, according to San Bernardino County Police Chief Jarrod Burguan.
Whether the deadly shooting was an act of domestic terrorism or the result or workplace-related is still under investigation.
Friends and family members posted condolences and photos on Thalasinos’ Facebook wall on Thursday. Very sad news. Please keep his family in your thoughts & prayers. Eight hours later, she learned he was dead. There are multiple people dead/shot.
Nicholas Thalasinos, fomerly of Middle Township, was a health inspector in Cape May County more than 10 years ago before he moved to California to take a similar job, according to the report. “I can’t get a hold of him”. I Didn’t know a better person.
