Samsung Unveils Updated Galaxy A7, A5, A3 Smartphone Models
“With the introduction of the Galaxy A 2016, we took the consumer feedback on our original Galaxy A models and made thoughtful and impactful improvements offering consumers a seamless convergence of style and performance for their everyday lifestyles”, J.K. Shin, the head of Samsung’s IT and mobile business, said in a statement.
In a span of a couple of years, the Korean tech giant launched smaller variants for its flagship smartphone units, such as the Galaxy S5 Mini, the Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy S5 Sport. The internals include a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and support for LTE category 6 network speeds. The Galaxy A7 runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and includes WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity.
Samsung’s latest flagship phablet from the popular Galaxy Note line comes with top-notch specs and features all around, but also with a price to match. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active’s 3,500 mAh battery gives its users as much as 24 hours’ worth of talk time and up to 21 days of life when on standby mode. In terms of optics the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) comes with either a 13MP/8MP rear camera or a 5MP front facing selfie snapper. It features a 3,300mAh battery. The A5 handset is 5.7 inches long, 2.79 inches wide and 0.28 inches thick, and weighs 5.46 ounces.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sports a massive 5.7-inch display with a high resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels at a pixel density of 518 ppi and packs an in-house Exynos 7420 chipset under the hood, paired with a hefty 4 GB of RAM.
One of the most recent entry-level Android smartphone launched by Samsung, the Galaxy J3 is about to make the jump overseas after being initially released in China.
The Galaxy A3 features a 5.2-inch panel with HD (720p) screen, and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB RAM.
