Just Cause 3 Patch Is in the Works
The developer, Avalanche Studios, stated that they are aware of these issues and are working to fix them, but by the look of it, this will take some time.
If you’re playing on PC, Avalanche recommends you hit up the Steam forums for advice from the community that “could improve or fix some of the issues that have been reported”.
It will take some time to narrow down specific issues though: “We need a little bit of time to recreate some of these issues and build fixes”.
It’s unclear whether the patch that will be offered for the PC version of Just Cause 3 will also be launched on home consoles or if a separate process of bug tracking is required for those platforms.
In the meantime, Avalanche recommends that players who encounter problems consistently contact Customer Support.
KitGuru Says: Square Enix has specifically singled out issues with the latest AMD drivers for Just Cause 3, so that might be worth keeping an eye out for. It’s a shame because normally this happens to the games I don’t care about much. It’s a good question and mostly associated with the fact that they can monitor play activity, how often people do missions, what sort of weapons they use, how often they utilize the wingsuit, and what sort of destruction they cause in the game world. The reason is becoming more obvious by the day, as complaints about technical issues keep raising. Compared to the rushed launch of “Assassin’s Creed: Unity” and the incredibly troubled PC version of “Batman: Arkham Knight”, it seems like “Just Cause 3” is still playable and fun at the least.
Whatever the cause, gamers everywhere are once again forced to consider why publishers continue to put out games with significant technical issues that are otherwise extremely well received. Just Cause 3’s user review score now sits at “mixed” on Valve‘s digital game store, a status no developer wants to see.
