Saks Off 5th discount outlets line up four more Canadian locations

Three other Saks OFF FIFTH locations that were previously announced will open in 2016, including at Outlet Collection at Niagara, Vaughan Mills, and CrossIron Mills just outside of Calgary.

It’s one of four stores the retailer announced it’s opening as part of a big expansion that also includes Quebec City, Montreal and Winnipeg.

While Tsawwassen Mills is expected to have about half of its tenants being outlet stores, Tsawwassen Commons will not have any outlet stores.

Saks OFF 5TH will lease 32,687 square feet.

He declined to say whether his mall was negotiating with either Saks or Nordstrom for outlet stores. It should not be confused for the main department stores, which are substantially larger and offer a more upscale shopping experience.

The store, called Saks Off 5th, will open in the spring of 2017.

More than 800 brands from emerging designers and already established names in fashion will stock the shelves at Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH.

Jonathan Greller, president of Outlets, HBC, said they are looking forward to bringing the OFF 5 experience to the Canadian consumer.
