Clinton repeats call for gun control at NH events
Clinton also defended Muslim Americans during her forceful remarks, telling the audience at an event focused on women in business that “the vast majority of Muslim Americans are just as concerned and heart broken about this as anyone else”.
Londonderry resident Robin Skudlarek, who is an active volunteer with the advocacy group Moms Demand Action, said here on Thursday that she believes Clinton has a stronger record on guns than her main rival, Vermont Sen.
She told a Women’s Economic Opportunity Summit in New Hampshire that there’s no way to “stop every incident of gun violence” – but added that “we can stop a lot of them”.
Clinton spoke in New Hampshire a day after authorities say a couple killed 14 people at a banquet in San Bernardino.
She reiterated that sentiment at the town hall meeting later in Dover, saying, “I will continue to speak out about it, and I will look for people who are willing to work with me, and I would urgently request that responsible gun owners stand up to the irresponsible, nearly unconscionable behavior of the gun lobby”. Clinton liked that, and said after the event the man should talk with her people.
“It’s becoming clearer that we are dealing with an act of terrorism”, Clinton said.

Also included in the documents is an email from Clinton advisor Sidney Blumenthal, sent three days after the attack, describing then-Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney as “contemptible on a level not seen in past contemptible political figures” and a “mixture of greedy ambition and hollowness”.
“We must authorize resources for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to study and research the causes and effects of gun violence in the United States of America”, a Sanders campaign email said on Thursday (Dec 3). “And these people need treatment when they need treatment, regardless of their income, regardless of their insurance status”, he said.
The former secretary of state has made gun control a staple of her stump speech in recent months, most notably since the shooting in Charleston, South Carolina in June.
As she has done repeatedly, Clinton blamed Congress for inaction on guns. Clinton said in a statement to Reuters: “I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Insulators Union, whose leadership in energy efficiency is essential to making America a clean energy superpower”.
