BlueStacks 2.0 for Windows Launched, Lets You Run Multiple Android Apps
Bluestacks has also recently launched a Mac version of its software allowing you to enjoy the features on your Apple systems. “In addition, once someone discovers apps on PC or TV they tend to use them across all of their devices, giving the BlueStacks platform powerful reach for developers”.
First and foremost, BlueStacks 2 now comes with a revised interface that looks fresh and modern and gives you better control over installed apps, while also letting you download new ones faster.
BlueStacks essentially creates a virtual machine on a traditional computer to run Android apps. The new version comes with a browser-like interface that has different tabs to run multiple apps at once.
BlueStacks also announced a new milestone: it has hit 109 million downloads. You can also click the Full Screen button for a more immersive experience. The new toolbar has been placed on the left side of the app player which lets the user do just that.
Apps such as Fruit Ninja, Candy Crush, Angry Birds 2 and Netflix were the top titles on BlueStack since its launch in May 2011. The company has announced the availability of version 2 of the application. Shashi Kant Sharma has something interesting to say about app discovery “What we’ve learned is that the wider visual space lends itself more naturally to app discovery”. India reportedly has 20 million people using BlueStacks, and globally, users spend about 30 minutes a day on the website. Android emulators have been preferred for gaming and messaging, now with the integration of a app discovery feature it is bound to take off. If not anything else the Android emulators remind us of the fact that Android is still one of the very versatile OS that can very easily be imbibed in to an ecosystem of its own spread across multiple devices.
