Reham cancels booking at hotel to avoid encounter with Imran
Daily Dawn has quoted PIA spokesman Dania Gillani as saying the pilot’s initial statement suggests that he could not refuse to entertain the wish of Reham Khan to sit in plane cockpit.
He demanded the location of the trees from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, reported Dunya News. “It will take appropriate disciplinary action against the pilot in light of the inquiry’s findings”, the spokesperson added.
As the news broke, PIA authorities initiated an investigation into the matter and ascertained that Reham Khan had entered the cockpit of the plane.
A source told reporters that the PIA had to launch a formal inquiry after pictures of Reham’s sitting in the cockpit were uploaded on social media.
‘Although it appears to be courtesy on the part of the pilot, the PIA can not ignore the rules.
Speaking about her street child initiative, Reham said she did not start the program because of any affiliation with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government or any political party.
When asked whether she would be interviewing Imran Khan, she said smilingly: “I think I have interviewed him many times now”.
Before landing at Lahore airport on his return to the country on Thursday, Reham Khan had booked a room in a local five star hotel.
After being away for a month following her widely covered split with Imran, Reham returned to Pakistan yesterday and said she has come back with a resolve to fulfil her responsibilities in the media.
The Pakistani cricket legend-turned-politician and the TV journalist announced their decision to split on October 30 amid reports that Imran objected to her meddling in politics.
