Harrison Ford Dominates ‘Tonight Show’ with Hilarious Interview
“Hey! That’s worth a lot of money”, Fallon protested, though Ford wasn’t done yet. “I didn’t win.” And he wasn’t buying Fallon’s assertion that “nobody hears” the word “nominated” in that descriptor. I have to say, Harrison Ford seemed annoyed during the interviewed, but mostly incredibly sarcastic which was entertaining to watch.
Somehow, the duo ended up doing spit takes every time someone mentioned J.J. Abrams, director of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, more comedy ensued.
“Oh, poor guy. What a pity!”.
“And then they broke this leg”, he exclaimed amidst a flurry of flying toy parts.
The actor also demonstrated the leg injury he receieved on set by using a Han Solo doll Fallon provided. When asked what it was like to put on Han Solo costume again, Ford said he’s just “an old man” and that he didn’t get emotional, rather, “I got paid”. Ford wondered aloud before the host showed the only clip released so far of Han Solo in the new film from the official trailer, a moment he said gave him “chills”.
Ford originally came to the Star Wars franchise through his work with George Lucas on “American Graffiti”. “That’s what you get for having an amateur mohel”. During shooting, one of the doors of the Millenium Falcon slammed shut on Ford, leaving him with a dislocated left ankle.
