Coldplay Super Bowl show ‘will be greatest moment’
Rumors have been rife as to whom would take the stage for this, the golden 50th Super Bowl.
Katy Perry starred in the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history earlier this year, when more than 118 million viewers tuned in to see her perform with Lenny Kravitz and her now-famous dancing sharks.
British rock band Coldplay will be the headline act performing at Super Bowl 50 on Feb 7 in San Jose, California, the National Football League announced.
Coldplay’s newest album, “A Head Full of Dreams” will be released on Friday. The album is reportedly not going to be streaming on Spotify or other free music services, though it will be on platforms such as Apple Music and TIDAL.
They went on to round off proceedings with Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas”, briging the evening to an appropriately sentimental night for a band who many think are back in their element. Among the suggested artists: Bruno Mars, who performed in 2014; Beyonce, who performed in 2013; and pop band Maroon 5.
