Lupita Nyong’o relishes the Star Wars ‘party’
The 32-year-old Oscar victor has been hitting the ground running with promotional duties for Star Wars, in which she plays Maz Kanata, a space pirate who has lived for over a thousand years.
Sources have spoken out about the star’s bratty behaviour on the set of Eclipsed, labelling her an “ice princess” and “manipulative bitch”.
As you may have heard, United Kingdom paper The Sun reported Tuesday that Lupita Nyong’o’s role in the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens had been “massively cut in the finished edit”. The Mexican-Kenyan actress said that Kanta was a strong woman with an interesting history before Nyong’o humorously noted that revealing more details would lead her to trouble. “He’s assured her that this is her show and he’ll move mountains to please her”.
J.J. Abrams hopes “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is as much a female-friendly film as it is for “boys”.
Fellow actor Sengbloh left the production before the run was complete, without giving a reason for the early departure.
She describes the feeling that followed her initial fame as “whiplash”, noting, “I had talked so much about who I was that I’d forgotten who I was”. “I was in love with the world Danai created.” .
