Broncos’ Brock Osweiler Destined For Fame … HS Yearbook Predicted Success

The biggest question in the Broncos’ near future remains Peyton Manning’s health and potential return from a partially torn left plantar fascia.

The Patriots’ quest for a second ideal regular season came to an end Sunday night with a 30-24 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos.

It was the beatings that sent Peyton Manning to the sideline with a foot injury and it’s the clobbering that Brock Osweiler is taking that have the Broncos concerned about him, too.

The Broncos said last week that Manning would miss at least two more games and Pro Football Talk reports that Manning is going to be in a walking cast until Friday.

Manning is still working his way back from injury as he wears a walking cast.

“They were just teeing off on my teammate and I don’t like that, that bothers me”, Anderson said.

It is still undetermined whether Manning will travel with the Broncos when they face the San Diego Chargers this weekend, with backup Brock Osweiler will make this third start.

Although Osweiler would get up, dust off the snow and keep right on going, you can bet Kubiak and general manager John Elway cringed, especially when Osweiler limped away after one hard hit.

When Kubiak was asked if Osweiler has shown the needed qualities to lead the team the rest of the season post-game, the head coach praised the fourth-year quarterback for his perseverance and work ethic.

“I hate to see it, but it’s really the only way for defenders to hit now”, Brady said after the game. “We’ll just take it a day at a time right now”. “I’ve calmed down a little bit and we’ve moved on from that game because we are facing a great opponent this week in the Eagles”. Osweiler has lead the Broncos (9-2) to wins in each of his first two career starts on the heels of back-to-back losses with Manning at the helm.

“Everybody wants to know what he said”.

Osweiler said he’s not ready to view his starting job as more than a temporary gig. Most of the time you’ve got to play to the end and hope that you play with concentration, that you play with all the energy and focus, all the way until the game ends. “I think everyone felt the same way”, Brady sports station WEEI on Monday.
