Adele adds new dates to 25 tour
Glasgow tickets sell out in two minutes.
Tickets for her Dublin dates – March 4th and 5th of next year – sold out today in mere minutes, as did her date in Belfast’s SSE arena (that was always going to sell out in seconds given it’s her first date of her European tour) leaving a lot of people understandably DISTRAUGHT.
Touts have taken advantage, offering tickets at inflated prices of up to £609 on unofficial sites.
The 36-date tour, will kick off in Belfast on 29th February 2016, before stopping in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and then onto Europe. As soon as the tickets for the concert were made available, the Adele fans have swept them.
Adele’s third album 25 has topped the charts across the globe and sold 800,307 copies in the United Kingdom in its first week, beating the record previously held by Oasis.
25, which the singer described as a “make-up record”, is the fastest selling album in United Kingdom history, having hit the one million sales mark within 10 days of its release, and is the biggest release of 2015.
Fans got a taste of the album during an hour-long show on November 20 on BBC1.
Adele’s recent United Kingdom tour announcement was the cherry on the cake for most avid fans, who have waited (patiently) for four years to hear new material from the British singer. And you’ll want to ensure you don’t miss out on those.
Thought to have followed in the footsteps of Taylor Swift, Adele refused to put her new album on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
At least you might get a few retweets, eh?
