U2 & Eagles of Death Metal will perform collectively in Paris this Sunday, resuming the appearances in that had been affected by the November terror assaults in France.
“We had a plane, which we put at the Eagles’ use if they wanted it, but they found another way. The best thing we could do for our fellow musicians was to buy them phones”, he said. “I spoke to Julian [Dorio] and to Jesse [Hughes]. Their phones were in the venue”, Bono said.
Gunmen attacked almost simultaneously targets across Paris, killing 130 people in total.
One of the victims was Nick Alexander, merchandise manager for Eagles of Death Metal. The Queens of the Stone Age frontman founded Eagles of Death Metal in the late 1990s, along with Jesse Hughes. Our friends went there to see rock’n’roll and died. “I want to go back there and live”.
