Kobe Bryant’s Company Files for Trademarks Linked to His Final Season

Friday, Los Angels Lakers star Kobe Bryant, nicknamed the “Black Mamba”, will play his final regular season game in Atlanta.

During the Heat-Thunder game on Thursday night, Dwyane Wade said that in November, Kobe Bryant tipped him off about retirement plans in a roundabout way.

Bryant beat back Father Time and the Washington Wizards with a vintage performance as the Los Angeles Lakers guard scored a season-high 31 points in a 108-104 win to snap a seven-game losing streak.

Should the Lakers fail to make the end-of-season play-offs, Bryant’s final game is set to be at home against Utah on 13 April. “I read up on the animal and said, ‘Wow, this is pretty awesome, ‘ ” Bryant recalled.

Meanwhile, Bryant admitted after the match that he did not expect to receive a warm reception from fans in their last two games – against the Philadelphia 76ers and Wizards. The Hawks host the Los Angeles Lakers at 8 p.m. Friday.
