Tyrann Mathieu sits in hot vehicle for PETA viral video
National Football League star free safety Tyrann Mathieu is used to tackling the likes of other stars like Marshawn Lynch and Rob Gronkowski, but now he is tackling an important issue off the field. According to the video, that occurs within four minutes on a 90-degree day.
The organization warns that dogs can not sweat, “so when stuck inside a auto at temperatures above 90 degrees, they have no way of cooling themselves”. Mathieu is visibly uncomfortable and tries to fan himself with his shirt.
Have you ever sat in your vehicle on a hot, sunny day and thought about how people survived before the invention of air conditioning? “I can’t wait to get out of this vehicle”.
The three-minute video, produced by animal-rights group PETA, shows the temperature go rise to 97-degrees Fahrenheit in just two minutes, and 113-degrees by minute six.
“I seriously couldn’t imagine leaving my dog in a auto like this”, he said in the video. “Don’t treat him like you wouldn’t someone you care about or someone you loved”, The Honey Badger said as he sweated out 120-degree temps.
Good on you, Tyrann Mathieu, for putting yourself through hell to remind us!
A dog’s owner could face charges for leaving a dog in a hot auto if the dog becomes distressed.
Mathieu could just open the door and get out, but dogs don’t have that option.
