Trump campaign manager: Media suppressing proof of 9/11 claim
Texas Senator Ted Cruz, R-Tex., has seen a sharp jump in support in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa, according to the results of a new Quinnipiac University poll.
The Republican frontrunner told an NBC News reporter on Monday night that he has “the world’s greatest memory” and everybody knows about this.
In a survey of likely Iowa Republican caucus-goers by Quinnipiac University, Cruz received the support of 23%, up from 10% on October 22, with Trump leading with 25%.
Cruz’s 13-point rise in the last month mirrors the latest CBS News Battleground Tracker released Sunday, which showed Cruz at 21 percent behind Trump, who notched 30 percent, while Carson had 19 percent support.
“I’m getting all of these tweets: ‘I saw it.’ ‘I was there.’ ‘I was this, ‘” he recalled.
Trump said he is able to predict terrorism because he can “feel it”, the report adds.
Trump, who caused a media storm this week by suggesting for all Muslims in the United States to register, ignited another controversy after saying he would bring back waterboarding in interrogations of suspected terrorists.
The Republican presidential candidate said he saw footage of American Muslims celebrating in New Jersey on 9/11.
The Republican presidential contender lives in Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, more than four miles away from where the World Trade Center towers once stood. “I don’t know if on the basis of that you can say all Muslims are bad people – I really think that would be a stretch”.
“Yeah, yeah”, Carson said. I guess. But Trump wasn’t going to give in.
In a statement, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop criticised Trump for his statements. “‘Clearly, Trump has memory issues or willfully distorts the truth, either of which should be concerning for the Republican Party”.
That was thanks to a week of bumbling comments by the retired neurosurgeon, underscored by the Paris attacks that have made his lack of experience seem less endearing and more harmful than ever. There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it, a heavy Arab population, that were cheering as the buildings came down.
The Republican mogul also raised eyebrows on Monday by claiming he personally saw the people leaping to their deaths from the World Trade Center buildings. Even if the fact checkers say otherwise.
Earlier in the day, Trump demanded apologies from those people who dared to doubt his recollection of the 9/11 attacks.
