Coldplay Playing Super Bowl Halftime Show
Coldplay have been confirmed as the headline act for the half-time show at the Super Bowl – something Chris Martin described as the band’s “greatest moment”.
The rock band’s lead singer, Chris Martin and other band mates, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and Jonny Buckland, recently signed a contract of agreement to perform at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the National Football League event, which is sponsored by PepsiCo Inc.
Coldplay, who have just recently released their seventh studio album titled “A Head Full of Dreams“, will follow previous halftime performances by Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé and Madonna. It’s available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, as well as on CD and vinyl.

In a promotional video, he said: “We are so excited and honoured and thrilled to be playing the half-time show. We’re going to give it everything we have”, Martin said.
The Super Bowl, which marks its 50th anniversary next year, is one of the “must see” events with USA audiences.
In the video, the band’s artistic director, Phil Harvey, also revealed that there would be a “special guest”, but did not specify who would be joining the show.
NFL announced the breaking news of Coldplay’s performance on Thursday night during the football game between the “Detroit Lions” and “Green Bay Packers”.
Paul Dellegatto, from Tampa, Florida, tweeted: “Go ahead and hate on Coldplay headlining Super Bowl half time show, but you know at some point you’ve cried to a Coldplay song”.
Katy Perry’s most recent halftime performance, in which she was joined by Missy Elliot and Lenny Kravitz, earned over 120 million viewers, beating Bruno Mars’ Super Bowl performance with Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2014 which garnered over 115 million viewers.
