Fatal Crash Involves 4 Lakeville South High School Students, 2 Dead
– The Dakota County Sheriff’s Officer confirms that two teenagers are dead following a rollover accident on Friday afternoon.
Two students at Lakeville South High School died and two of their classmates were injured in a rollover crash after school Friday. Around 3 pm, the office of the Dakota County Sheriff responded to a report of an accident on the 225th street, west of Dodd Road. One more student suffered serious injuries, and he was airlifted to the Hennepin County Medical Center. The other was able to talk and walk after the accident, but was taken by ambulance to HCMC.
“This is a very hard time for Lakeville South students and the Lakeville community”, Snyder said. “We will be providing support and counselors as long as needed”, said Amy Olson Communications Director for Lakeville Area Public Schools.
Grief support was made available at the high school, where all after-school and weekend activities were canceled. “He’d always have a big smile on his face”. Hundreds of students from both North and South high schools and their families have gathered to grieve.
Price had played for Thompson for two years and also was a talented baseball player for Lakeville South, as well as a member of the Minnesota Blizzard Elite, a traveling baseball league.
