Affordable GoPro Hero4 Session camera available to buy in time for Christmas
GoPro Hero 4 Session gets an awesome discount.
The price of the smallest action camera of GoPro, the Hero4 Session, has gone down to $199. Last September, GoPro brought the price down to $299.99 from its original $399.99 retail price.
In a statement, GoPro CEO Nick Woodman said, “The waterproof HERO4 Session is so durable and easy to use”. It is compatible with other GoPro accessories such as helmet, chest, board, bike, gear and pole mounts.
Touting the capabilities and features of the astounding Hero4 Session camera, GoPro has asserted on the camera’s product page that Hero4 Session is “the smallest, lightest, most convenient camera yet” to pack the power of GoPro; and that the camera boasts “a rugged and waterproof design, easy one-button control, revolutionary battery efficiency, 1080p60 video and 8MP photos”. Now that the price has dropped, it’s an even better value. At $199, it is the same price as a lower-end Hero+ plus. It’s also waterproof to 10m without an additional housing, has Wi-Fi, and it’s arguably the simplest GoPro to use.
The camera was intially marketed as the GoPro camera flawless for the non-daredevil who wanted to capture everyday moments, as reported by Fortune. Therefore, consumers do not have a reason to replace their GoPro camera. Aspiring filmmakers will probably still want to shell out more bucks for the better imagery of the Hero4 Silver or Black ($600 or $750, respectively), but for the vast majority of would-be action cam buyers, this is everything you need.
Overall, the GoPro Hero4 Session is a pretty great package and with its new $199.99 price tag, it could make its way to many Christmas lists this year.
