Tyson Fury set for £50m rematch with Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley

“I don’t know if (Klitschko) is going to take the rematch or not”, he said.

Wladimir Klitschko will take up his option for a rematch against new world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, the Ukrainian has announced.

Klitschko-Fury wasn’t exactly a thriller, but Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) did enough to frustrate Klitschko… and win 116-111, 115-112 and 115-112 on the scorecards.

“I had good information off good resources not to touch anything in the changing rooms because they might try and drug you”, Fury said on his return to Britain following his shock victory over Klitschko in Duesseldorf on Saturday.

“I couldn’t show much full potential at any time. I’ll be unified champion at some point”. “And I’d like to do it all again”.

“But I’m happy to take the fight and I want the fight because I believe Tyson will stop him next time”.

Fury is obliged contractually to accept a rematch, he said.

He has vowed to use his chance to win back the IBF (International Boxing Federation), World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) belts he deservedly lost to Fury in a poor performance. Bellator President Scott Coker recently told Sherdog.com that negotiations to bring Fury to the Viacom-owned organization would have become “extremely serious” had he been vanquished by Klitschko. So when I beat him, what the hell can they say?

Fury’d trainer and uncle Peter Fury says he is focused on defending against Klitschko in May or June, before a possible unification clash with WBC champ Deontay Wilder at the end of next year.

‘To be honest it doesn’t matter to me where I fight.

Klitschko was unable to match Fury and failed to stage a comeback which led to his first loss since 2004, when Lamon Brewster defeated him via technical knockout (TKO).

And the Olympic champion admits the public’s appetite for a bout with Fury could make the fight happen sooner rather than later. I’ve enjoyed it. I got a great reception from the German fans.
