Bush: No way Trump wins nomination
Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush said Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is “a focus group person”, questioning her foreign policy plans in an exclusive interview Sunday on “This Week”.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump speaks at the Republican Jewish Coalition Presidential Forum in Washington, Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015.
But how do you solve a problem such as Trump?
“Should I win the nomination, I will take it to Hillary Clinton and I will whup her”, Bush declared, to applause.
Fernandez told the publication that Clinton was the “lesser of the two evils”.
“Who’s 3?” Trump asked.
He told the crowd that even if the night before the caucuses, someone had caught their spouse cheating – well, they still needed to show up for the sake of Trump’s candidacy.
He went on to call her a “focus group person” who changes positions in response to public sentiment. “She goes to sleep”. And although I know Right to Rise already has a plan in place to spend down its massive wad throughout February and March (and beyond) in hopes that Bush eventually emerges as the top choice, I just don’t see a lot of evidence that the race will yield that scenario unless there is a sizeable shake-up sometime soon.
ABC reported this week that they had uncovered a secret memo from National Republican Senatorial Committee executive director Ward Baker referring to Trump as “a misguided missile” who is “subject to farcical fits”.
Trump argued that his observation – which is not supported by Clinton’s actual campaign schedule – was among the reasons that she is “not what we need as a president”.
“We need a strategy”, Bush said. “We have to get the job done”. He said Trump’s rhetoric about illegal immigration pains him.
He could actually wind up as the Republican nominee for president.
He also talked up the 2nd Amendment, said that the attacks in Paris and shootings in San Bernardino, California, could have ended differently if the victims had been armed.
