Russia Fires Missiles Inscribed with For Paris
Russian Tupolev-95MS strategic bombers launched twelve cruise missiles from the Russian territory at the facilities and installations controlled by the Islamic State in Syria, including a missile targeted at the terrorist grouping’s headquarters in the city of Idlib.
Yesterday, Shoigu reported to President Vladimir Putin that Russian warplanes had destroyed 15 oil facilities in Syria and 525 trucks carrying oil in bombing this week.
Russian military are inscribing “For Paris” on bombs destined for targets in Syria, in solidarity with the victims of the Paris attacks.

In a video posted online by the Russian Defense Ministry on Friday, the Russian words “За Парижа” – or “for Paris” in English – are written on what appears to be bombs on a Russian jet in Syria. He said this deprived ISIS of Dollars 1.5 million in daily income from oil sales.
Russian Federation is coordinating its air strikes with Damascus, unlike the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State group, which Assad and his government criticise as ineffectual.
Putin praised the Russian operation in Syria but said it was “still not sufficient” to wipe out the jihadists in the country and that a “large volume of work” lay ahead. In addition, 29 long-range bomber aircraft from the Caspian Sea (it wasn’t specified where precisely) have carried out strikes in Syria.
Iraq’s Civil Aviation Authority has suspended flights to the northern Kurdish self-ruled region for two days starting Monday due to Russia’s air campaign in neighbouring Syria, a statement said.
Moscow says the campaign is aimed at helping the Syrian army in its anti-terror fight and also preventing the return of more than 2,000 Russian nationals who have joined Daesh ranks in Syria.
Meanwhile, Moscow has said ISIS was so overwhelmed with casualties in the attacks it is having to crudely hide dead bodies at night.
A peace plan agreed to last weekend by 17 nations meeting in Vienna says nothing about Assad’s future, but states that “free and fair elections would be held pursuant to the new constitution within 18 months”.
