Chiefs use huge 4th quarter to stun Raiders in 34-20 win
Spencer Ware led in rushing with 114 yards and one touchdown in 19 carries.
The Raiders started the game with the ball and from their own 20-yard line, Carr put together a nine-play drive that heavily featured running back Latavius Murray, who compiled 50 yards.
It was a 25-yard TD, and Carr threaded the ball in between two defenders in what was perhaps his best throw of the season.
The one-time Raiders safety picked off a pass which deflected off the hands of wide receiver Amari Cooper and raced 38 yards for a touchdown.
Oakland Raiders’ Michael Crabtree (15) comes down with a touchdown pass against Kansas City Chiefs’ Eric Berry (29) and Kansas City Chiefs’ Sean Smith (21) in the second quarter of their National Football League game at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, Calif, on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015. The extra point attempt was mishandled and resulted in a missed attempt. The over/under total for this game has been set at 44.5 points. Quarterback Derek Carr has developed a consistent rapport with Cooper and much of the Oakland offense runs through the two of them stretching the field.
The Chiefs are going for six consecutive wins only because their defense has destroyed everything in front of it, allowing four touchdowns in the past five games, while QB Alex Smith cruises along without back-breaking mistakes. Mack is facing constant double-team attention since bookend pass rusher Aldon Smith was suspended.
The Chiefs roll on by overwhelming the Raiders’ offensive line and getting more production from their no-name backfield.
