Powerful earthquake shakes Tajikistan, no damage immediately reported
According to local media reports, quake tremors were also felt in parts of Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
A magnitude 7.2 natural disaster has been reported in Tajikistan, Central Asia, and has been felt as far away as New Delhi, India.
Footage captured from different parts of the country also showed electricity poles, street lights and ceiling fans shaking as a result of the tremors.
USGS reports that a strong 7.2 magnitude quake struck Tajikistan.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located 109 kilometers (68 miles) west of Murghob, Tajikistan and 133 kilometers (83 miles) northeast of Khorugh, Tajkistan.
The quake hit round 1:20 PM on Monday. The depth of the natural disaster was recorded at 25 km.
However, no loss of life and property has been investigated till now in the today’s quake news in India.
People ran out of tall buildings in Indian capital and Jammu & Kashmir as aftershocks were felt.
