OnePlus: OnePlus 2 Invite-Free Forever, OnePlus X Until today
OnePlus ran a few invite-free flash promotions, but now they are getting rid of invites completely for the OnePlus 2. Its third ever smartphone and its first mid-ranger – the OnePlus X has been available for purchase invite-free since December 5th, but that deal ends today, so if you’re looking for the most convenient way to get your hands on the company’s latest blower, now would be a good time to lay down some cash. As part of the sale, OnePlus 2 StyleSwap Covers are discounted at 50 percent off, selected OnePlus accessories are marked down at up to 90 percent off their original price, a limited number of first orders will be entitled for a free and exclusive Never Settle OnePlus mouse pad, and all other OnePlus accessories on their online store are discounted at 10 percent off their original price.
According to the sources, the company stated, “Speaking of cheer, we’re ringing in the holiday spirit by making it much simpler to give the gift of OnePlus this year”. On the occasion of celebrating its second anniversary on December 17, the company has cancelled the invite-only requirement for OnePlus 2 smartphone. Reportedly, the company is now planning an open sale for the OnePlus X smartphone for users in India but the plans aren’t finalised yet. Under the hood, the device will feature a 5-inch AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
With the OnePlus 2, the company has built a device that competes with the likes of the Google Nexus 6P and others. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2. It also includes 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Launched earlier this year, the OnePlus 2 can now be purchased without pre-registration. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera.
As such, we need to wait and watch as to what does the company have up its sleeve for the Indian customers with respect to its OnePlus X device.
This dual-SIM device simultaneously supports two Nano SIM cards with 4G LTE capability.
