Insects found in Swami Ramdev’s Patanjali noodles in Haryana
Previously they were in the news for not having an FSSAI approval and now after they are available in the market they are in the news because someone in Jind, Haryana found insects in the instant noodle packet.
Meanwhile, the customer informed that he would file a litigation against Patanjali, an ayurvedic institution owned by Ramdev and his associates.
The bugs were spotted inside a sealed pack by a customer who purchased it from a Swadeshi store in Narwana, according to Zee News reports.
Within weeks after its launch, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Atta noodles landed in a controversy.
Immediately after its launch, Patanjali had come under the government scanner as the FSSAI had said that despite not obtaining the much-needed approval, packets of Patanjali Noodles displayed the licence number.
Ramdev had launched Patanjali Atta noodles soon after Nestle Maggi was banned.
Another notice has been issued to Aakash Yog, the manufacturer of the instant noodles, seeking its response as to how the product was manufactured without a licence from FSSAI.
As Catch had reported, the FSSAI had approved Patanjali’s pasta brand but not the noodles. As per the FSSAI, noodles come under the “pasta” category.
