Art Basel Woman Gets Stabbed … Witnesses Think It’s Art

A witness caught the entire shooting in a short video that’s going viral as you can see below. “He was challenged by the officers in the street and at some point, during that confrontation, he did raise his hand with a straight edge razor in it, and he was shot”.

Shots were fired and the suspect was killed.

Miami-Dade County Police Department will handle the investigation into the shooting.

The Miami Beach police said Saturday that its police department and the FBI would investigate the bank robbery.

An altercation led to a woman stabbing another woman at an Art Basel exhibit in Miami Beach Friday evening, police said. Others said that they saw a woman who looked like she had a pen sticking out of her neck. The assailant, who has not yet been identified by the police, was arrested at the scene. Kathleen Prieto before adding that the victim was hospitalized with “non life-threatening” injuries and the suspect was apprehended at the scene and is expected to be charged with attempted murder.

Miami artist Naomi Fisher said she heard the scuffle and later saw a woman being taken away by paramedics.

The attack took place in the fair’s Nova section, near a booth for the Los Angeles gallery Freedman Fitzpatrick.

Sculptor Gregg Hill told the Herald that people were told a sculpture fell on the woman and went back to looking at the exhibits.

Sara Fitzmaurice, a spokeswoman for the art show, said in a statement “the attack was an isolated incident that was immediately secured”.

“He came outside and was basically yelling gestures out to the police officers”, said Marcellus Johnson, who captured the video and posted it to Instagram.

Police have not released the man’s name yet. Some patrons initially thought that the ensuing blood and police tape were all part of the show.
