Epic Games MOBA Paragon coming to PS4, PC in 2016
At PlayStation Experience, there was obviously no mention of Xbox platforms anywhere. This is by far the most visually impressive MOBA now in development. It already had people speculating of what kind of world Epic Games prepared for them.
While the selling point is to place Paragon as something you’ve never experienced in a MOBA, some things remain the same. In fact, they both would have a big audience as well as professional players that would range to millions of dollars. Instead, it looks to be taking more than a few hints from Smite, being a third-person action shooter under the mould of massive arena gameplay. Blasts, magic, technology, teamwork, force, and stealth seemed well a part of it. This one is coming from Gears of War veterans, Epic Games and dubbed Paragon. In typical MOBA fashion, Paragon will let you choose from a large roster of playable heroes, each with unique appearances and mechanics. It would make for variety in gameplay, depending on strategy and combinations.
These cards are earned through playing and each deck you build can be upgraded. Epic Games moved the camera from the “heavens” where the player often stands, and shifted it right behind their character. The developer says that verticality plays an important role. Paragon is easily the most gorgeous MOBA to date, and it’s going to be really interesting to see if the game manages to uphold this level of visual detail when it goes into paid beta next year. The title, which was officially debuted at PlayStation Experience, will come to the PlayStation 4 and PC in 2016.
