Rez coming to Playstation VR
Sony held a PlayStation Experience event in San Francisco over the weekend to announce a slew of new video game titles that will be available on PlayStation VR when it launches next year.
It seems that, this will also be a substantial step up as far as performance concerned too as the VR variant will work at 120 fps with full 3D audio.
According to a Tweet from Mark MacDonald, who’s been working on the project with creator Tetsuya Mizoguchi, the game will, in fact be playable outside of Playstation VR, running at 1080p/60fps, with 7.1 audio.
In addition, Mizuguchi is creating a new stage for the game. The game doesn’t have a release date yet – as that might hint when the PlayStation VR headset is coming out – but we’re definitely looking forward to it. Unluckily, the HD remaster had a number of the player’s attacks not in sync with the tune, which was quite painful to hear. With ‘Rez Infinite, ‘ however, Sony is tapping into a classic.
He continued, explaining that the decade and a half since Rez’s release is has enabled the team to bring it to a new generation. Check back for more details as they come.
