Anthony Rodriguez, who also works for the company, told local news broadcaster WBAL that Harrison had a pre-existing dispute with one of the victims.
Christopher Harrison Jr. allegedly doused two co-workers with gas and lit them on fire.
Investigators say the suspects poured gasoline on the two victims and set them on fire. After filling up gas canisters at a nearby station, the men walked back to their vehicles where an argument ensued.
While one burn victim runs up an embankment, the other victim runs across the highway while screaming for help.
David Widener, who captured the incident on video, told them: “Nothing besides that was said, even leading up to the altercation”.
“One victim received burns over 90% of his body”, said Baltimore County Police Corporal Shawn Vinson.
By the time he drops and rolls on the road to put out the flames, all of his clothes had already burned off.
‘They had agreed to settle it, ‘ he said.
“He threw the gas on him and caught him on fire, and it just happened so quick”, he said. Both are in critical condition.
Harrison is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Police said a bystander recorded video and they’re using it as part of the investigation.
